Astralagus
Also called: Huang qi.
Source: Native to north-eastern China, where it is also grown commercially.
Medicinal Uses: Colds, flu, minor infections. Many studies confirm
immuneboosting, antiviral, antibacterial and tonic properties.
Shows promise in restoring T-cell function in cancer patients and preventing
growth of cancerous cells.
Part used: Root.
Forms available: Capsules, tablets, extracts, tinctures and in many
traditional Chinese formulas.
