Nausea
Nausea can be brought on by various causes, incuding motion sickness, pregnancy, an adverse reaction to food, nervous tension. a virus, or mieraine headache.
Ginger calmer
To help prevent motion sickness,
take six 500mg capsules of powdered ginger about 45 minutes before departing
on your journey.
Chew candied ginger
Ginger is a proven antinausea aid and has no harmful side effects. Chewing
on a piece of candied ginger root can ease mild nausea.
Acupressure for nausea
Acupressure wrist bands for relieving nausea from motion sickness or morning
sickness are available at many natural food stores and pharmacies.To make
your own, tape a mustard seed on the inside of each wrist, about 5cm (tin)
above the wrist crease and between the two tendons. When an attack of nausea
hits, press firmly on your left wrist for one minute, then repeat on your
right wrist
Ease morning sickness
While a cup of ginger tea helps ease morning sickness for some women. many
find that they need to take larger amounts to alleviate nausea. Powdered ginger
in capsules provides a more concentrated dose.Take several 500mg capsules
at a time (up to 6g per day) with a little ginger tea.
Alleviate nausea
Simmer one or two teaspoons of chopped fresh ginger root in one cup of water
in a covered pot for about ten minutes. Strain, and sweeten if desired. Drink
small amounts during the day as often as you wish.
